Automotive Industry: Suspension Ball Studs

As we look at the future of automotive manufacturing in America, ball studs and ball joints will remain critical to the design of both gasoline powered cars and electric vehicles. Ball studs are necessary for control arms, steering knuckles, pitman arms, gas springs and other steering and suspension components, as well as trailer hitches.

Using induction heating we can harden the critical surfaces of a ball stud to increase wear resistance and strength. We  can also the induction heating process to anneal critical areas of ball stud to increase ductility after previous hardening or forming applications. Our facilities are IATF-16949 certified and our equipment and process meets CQI-9 requirements.
